Apprenticeships combine a Training Provider and a workplace to aid the learner in applying taught skills in to the working environment. They involve being assessed through tasks which are directly linked to your job role which may include practical demonstrations, observations on the job, research projects and workbooks.
Apprenticeships are available at any age in a variety of sectors and, depending upon your learning preferences and career goals, could be relevant to you. Some industries place the highest value on occupational experiences and vocationally related qualifications.
Many Apprenticeships offer distance learning modules for training. However, at Collyer’s we value the contact time and the learning resources at the college and each learner has taught classes one to three times a week depending on their programme. This means that, to be considered for the Collyer's Apprenticeship programme, you must live within daily travelling distance of the College.
