John Elmer MEng ARSM PhD, of Haywards Heath, was awarded the degree of Doctor of Philosophy at a ceremony in the Senate House in Cambridge (next to Kings College Chapel).

Rag week raised £3,100 for Ingfield Manor School

Top score in electronics

Darren Richardson achieved the top score (scoring full marks in all units, both in AS and A2 Level) in the country for A Level Electronics this summer and won a prize of £100 from AQA Examing Board; he plans to use the prize to buy books.

Outstanding A Level Results 2008

As expected, and in line with the performance of recent years, examination results at Collyer’s are once again outstanding.

Programming Competition

Alex Hurst, a computing student at Collyer's, was recently judged runner-up in a programming competition run by Manchester University.

Collyer's students finish runners-up in National Competition

At the final of the National Investment Programme competition run by the Institute for Financial Studies and held in the City of London on 30th April, 2008 , a Collyer's team comprising Stephen Andrews, Tom Bird, Niall Browne and James Forbes-King produced a fantastic effort to finish runners-up overall.

Fifty Collyer’s students and staff, set off for Los Angeles on March 8th and before long the group was checking into TheCollyer's in Hollywood Sportsman’s Lodge Hotel in Studio city, North LA.

Collyer`s is working with primary school pupils and staff to support the teaching of technology. The Mercer`s Company, who are trustees of the college, has provided funding for the college to share with local primary and secondary schools.
