News Media Careers in the Frame 10.10.2022
Ravensbourne University visited Collyer’s recently as part of a longstanding collaboration between the two institutions, aimed at assisting students gain their university place. Ravensbourne are renowned within the creative industries for the high quality of their bespoke media higher education and training. Students attending the event were given an insight into a wide range of potential careers, including games design, film production, live television, post-production editing, advertising, and illustration.
Jonathan Nunns, Collyer’s Head of Media Studies, explained: “With so many career choices facing young people today, this kind of event provides essential guidance to help students make the right decisions for them and their futures”.
During the session students also learned how to make creative portfolios and showreels to take to their university interviews.
Presenting at the event were Lucy Slater, Outreach Manager at Ravensbourne, and ex Collyer’s Media and Film Student Kitt Bessant, currently studying Film Production at the University.
