About the course
Digital technology is fast becoming an essential part of the running of any business. With the digital skills gap on the increase, many roles now require an element of digital skills and organisations need to ensure that staff have the right knowledge to run things effectively. So do you need to improve your digital skills?
This course helps you gain relevant digital skills which can be applied to your everyday role and and give you opportunities to acquire a number of practical skills, such as understanding how to protect devices and data, communication using technology, digital skills in personal and professional situations and using these skills to facilitate earners career progression.
Topics covered include:
- Using and managing information
- Keeping yourself and others safe when using digital devices
- Communicating and collaborating online
- Digital career development
You should expect to complete 3 hours of homework per week in addition to class attendance and exam revision.
Entry requirements
No previous knowledge is required. Students who apply to study these courses with us will be invited to attend a session at the college to complete an online assessment. This will show us the level you are currently working at. If you feel you are not yet ready for this level of qualification, you may wish to consider the Digital Functional Skills course, which offers Entry Level 3 and Level 1.
Delivery
Learners will attend weekly lessons in college. To complete your homework, you will need to use a PC, laptop or other suitable device. Learners who do not have a personal device are able to use the equipment in the college library during our evening opening times, including computers, study stations, print-based and electronic learning materials, printers and scanners.
Progression
These qualifications may support learners to progress into or within employment or further education.

Fees
