News Reema Appointed Chairman of West Sussex Youth Cabinet 08.05.2024

Collyer’s student Reema Ahamed has been appointed Chairman of the West Sussex Youth Cabinet.

The West Sussex Youth Cabinet aims to give young people a voice and works on numerous social action projects. The cabinet comprises 48 eleven- to eighteen-year-olds.

Reema, who previously attended Warden Park Academy in Cuckfield, said: “I’m not just a leader, I’m a catalyst for change, ready to roll up my sleeves and make a tangible difference in the lives of young people.”

Collyer’s Deputy Principal Steve Martell was delighted: “The Collyer’s community could not be prouder of Reema. She is a fantastic role-model who I’m sure will be a superb Chairman of the West Sussex Youth Cabinet.”

Reema added: “I’m very much looking forward to acting as a direct bridge between West Sussex Youth Cabinet and West Sussex County Council.”
