News Students Focus on Film and Media Degrees 05.03.2020
Collyer’s recently welcomed a tutor and 3 current undergraduates from Ravensbourne, widely regarded as one of the country’s top media and design universities. Collyer’s media and film students were introduced to the university experience, and in particular to the bespoke training courses in this field. During the two hour event, a lively and informative Q&A outlined career opportunities in the media industry, and the training and experience required. University and apprenticeship routes were also discussed and the visitors kindly took time out to speak to the Collyer’s students in small groups and individually.
Head of Subject for Media Jonathan Nunns was absolutely delighted: “Literally inspiring. The students had a brilliant time and got a direct practical insight into careers in the creative industries and how they link with Higher Education courses. We are hugely grateful to Ravensbourne for this wonderful opportunity, they are massively supportive of the work we are doing here at Collyer’s and I was particularly pleased with our students’ forensic questioning about how to make themselves employable for television and film jobs in the future.”
