News Collyer’s Student Helps Sussex Community NHS Trust 11.06.2020
Collyer’s student Matt Forster, who has applied to study medicine at university next year, has been volunteering at Horsham hospital for six hours a week, for the last five weeks. Matt, who is a Student Ambassador at the Ofsted Outstanding Sixth Form College, explained: “I have been working hard creating patient folders, reordering patient files and entering logs. It’s been an honour to help the Sussex Community NHS Foundation Trust.”
Collyer’s Deputy Principal Steve Martell said: “Matt has been a tremendous part of our Collyer’s Student Ambassadorial team over the past year. He’s attended numerous Post 16 evening events with us to help the next generation coming through to Collyer’s, so it’s no surprise that he’s now volunteered to help the Sussex Community NHS Foundation Trust at this difficult time.
“Matt is a lovely young man who passionately cares about others. He will be asset to the medical profession and we are all incredibly proud of him at Collyer’s.”
