Dan Lodge
Principal/Ex-Officio
After an early career in marketing for international companies, I qualified as a teacher in 2004 and have spent the last 20 years in education as a teacher and then senior leader working in three large outstanding sixth-form colleges. At Reigate College I launched one of the very first PGCE courses in a sixth form college as well as teaching GCSE in a local partner 11-16 school. I moved to Esher College as Assistant Principal and then Vice Principal (Pastoral), I managed a range of key student services including being the designated safeguarding lead. I have worked at Collyer’s since 2017, I led quality and curriculum as Vice Principal – both years achieving top state provider of A Levels in West Sussex – and took over as Principal and Accounting Officer in 2020. I have also been chair of S7 – the consortium of eight sixth form colleges in the southeast of England. I recently guided the college through a fundamental review of its mission, vision and values as well as development of a suite of strategic plans and delivered £5M of capital building projects. I live in Horsham, my wife works at a local primary school and my two children attended local schools.
