About the course
This course is for volunteers and local businesses in Horsham to enable them to become ‘carbon literate’.
What is it about?
Global warming has been described as the largest threat to humanity. Many would like to help combat global heating, but few know how they can contribute to reducing carbon dioxide emissions.
What will it cover?
This course gives you the science behind climate change as well as practical solutions to reduce your own carbon footprint.
What will I need to do to complete the course?
You will be required to create an individual and a group pledge stating how you will reduce carbon emissions. On successful completion of the course, you will receive a certificate from the Carbon Literacy Project.
Entry requirements
There are no formal entry requirements
Delivery
Learners will attend weekly lessons in college. In exceptional circumstances this course may incorporate an element of live remote lessons where appropriate. It is recommended that you have access to a PC, laptop or other suitable device.
Learners also benefit from access to the college library during our evening opening times, including computers, study stations, print-based and electronic learning materials, printers and scanners.
