News Collyer’s Net Fourth Place in Regionals 16.10.2024

Collyer’s netball recently took part in the regional round of the National Schools Cup tournament, hosted by Roedean School, Brighton. Competing against some of the top schools and colleges from across the region, the team won five, drew one, and lost three games.

Michelle Peckham said: “We acquitted ourselves really well against very strong opposition and achieved a deserved fourth place.”

Dom Evans added: “The team played excellent netball throughout the tournament.”

Collyer’s netball team comprised: Mia Banks, Martha Bonner, Izzy Brown, Angela Herbert, Emily McWatt; Evie Mortimer, Alexis Park- Griffiths, Charlotte White (Captain) and Connie Wiffen.

Deputy Principal Steve Martell was delighted: “Massive thanks to Michelle, Dom, and this talented team for representing Collyer’s at this top-level tournament. The group acquitted themselves professionally throughout the day and were a credit to our college.”
