News Collyer’s Supports Launch of Innovative Job-Matching App During National Careers Week 03.03.2025
Collyer’s is proud to be part of an exciting new initiative to connect job seekers with local employers through the launch of Landed, a groundbreaking mobile app designed to transform employment opportunities across Sussex. The app, developed in collaboration with further education and sixth-form colleges in the region, launched today to coincide with National Careers Week (3rd – 8th March 2025).
Landed aims to bridge the gap between job seekers and local businesses by providing an intuitive platform where users can explore opportunities suited to their skills and interests. Employers can post vacancies for free, while colleges can use the app’s cohort management system to support students on their career journeys.
Rob Hussey, Vice Principal (Curriculum) at Collyer’s, said:
“We’re delighted to be part of this collaborative effort to help students and job seekers in Sussex. Landed is more than just a job board – it’s a tailored, interactive tool that connects individuals with roles that truly match their skills and aspirations. By launching during National Careers Week, we’re highlighting just how important it is for young people to have access to high-quality career resources.”
How Landed Works
Landed has been designed with three key user groups in mind:
- Job seekers can create profiles that highlight their skills and values, access CV-building tools, and receive instant notifications about job applications.
- Employers looking to list job opportunities or find out more information can post unlimited job opportunities for free, making it easier to connect with local talent.
- Colleges and education providers can track student progress, provide career advice, and gain insights into employment trends.
The app was developed in response to the Local Skills Improvement Plan (LSIP), published by Future Skills Sussex in 2023, which identified key employment challenges in the region. Landed directly addresses these by supporting local businesses in finding skilled employees, raising awareness of career pathways, and introducing innovative approaches to skills assessment.
Landed is now available for download on both Apple App Store and Google Play Store and can be found by searching “Landed Jobs”
