Initiatives Collyer’s Successful In Green Bid 15.07.2021

Collyer’s were delighted to be announced as part of a consortium of colleges from across the whole of Sussex successful in a bid for funding from the Department of Education’s Strategic Development Fund. The group of colleges includes Bexhill College, BHASVIC, Chichester College Group, Collyer’s, East Sussex College Group, Greater Brighton Metropolitan Group, Plumpton College and Varndean College. All institutions will be working together to run courses for students that raise awareness about sustainability and establish carbon literacy.

Dan Lodge, Principal, said: “As a member of FE Sussex we are pleased to be part of this new initiative that combines our forces for environmental good, with all of the colleges in Sussex working together to grow awareness of sustainability amongst our communities. This kind of project will be key to us engaging fully with the Climate Action Roadmap that we committed to last summer and we look forward to working with our colleagues across the county on such a positive agenda that will benefit young people across the region.”
