News Students enjoy Flying Visit 31.01.2020
Collyer’s recently ran a Pilot Careers Q&A with Louis DuBoulay (British Airways) in a session facilitated by Deputy Principal Steve Martell. Louis kindly took time to answer a range of questions from the students about his tough pilot training programme in the United States, flying light aircraft and significant experience working with British Airways. A range of career paths linked to the airline industry were also explored during a lively and inspiring session.
Lucy Hargreaves, Collyer’s Employability Programme Co-ordinator, planned the event. She was delighted: “Louis spoke with great enthusiasm about his successful career as a pilot with British Airways and the students were certainly actively engaged, asking thoughtful, interesting and taxing questions.”
Louis Duboulay said: “The employability focus at Collyer’s is excellent and Steve and Lucy’s work in this area is outstanding. Their enthusiasm is infectious and I look forward to helping out in the future.”
Collyer’s Deputy Principal Steve Martell said: “Huge thanks to Louis, who has been so supportive of the busy employability programme here at Collyer’s. He is an absolute credit to British Airways.
“The story of Louis’ career journey is an inspirational one and we were delighted to have him to Collyer’s. The feedback from the students has been incredibly positive .
