News Students to Represent Sussex 10.02.2023

At the Sussex Schools Cross Country Championships in Brighton this week, Collyer’s Charlie Ferris (5th), who previously attended the Weald in Billingshurst, Luke Newton (7th), who joined Collyer’s from Oriel High School, and Joe Van Ness (18th), who came to Collyer’s from St Oscar Romero in Worthing, have all qualified to represent Sussex at the Schools Inter-Counties Cross Country Championships.

Collyer’s Head of Sports Academy, John Burroughs was delighted: “Huge congratulations to Charlie, Luke, and Joe on their success. They are wonderful athletes and an absolute credit to Collyer’s!”

The Inter-Counties race takes place on the 4th February, with the top 8 athletes then selected to represent the Sussex team at the National Finals.
